Letters and Sounds

The following series are linked to systematic synthetic phonics (SSP) programmes that are either validated or seeking to be validated by the DfE, and are 100% decodable and matched to the 2007 Letters and Sounds framework.

If your school already uses its own approach based around Letters and Sounds 2007 which includes appropriate resources, has decodable books matched to pupils’ phonic knowledge, high-quality staff training and achieves strong results, there is no need to change approach. 

Anima Phonics: Letters and Sounds Updated

A full synthetic phonics programme, created by teachers and delivering the core criteria for an effective phonics teaching programme, as outlined by the Department for Education. 
Essential Letters and Sounds
