Go All In: National Year of Reading 2026

Inspiring a love of reading in every classroom, the National Year of Reading seeks to empower teachers and practitioners with creative ways to make reading part of everyday learning across the UK.

Peters will be supporting schools throughout 2026 to prioritise reading and build confident, curious readers in every classroom.

How can schools 'Go All In'?

The National Year of Reading runs throughout 2026, with each term offering new ways to take part, from launch events to classroom activities and online webinars.

Take part in the Schools Participation Award, designed to recognise impactful approaches that make reading part of everyday learning in schools, through classroom activities, online webinars and partner resources.

• 20 March – Primary Conference - Beyond the book: routes into reading (Paid)
• 27 March – Early Words Matter Conference - Science to Stories: Take a research lens to the role of homes, early years and community settings, illuminating new chances to cultivate lifelong readers. (Paid)
