Make and design your own Christmas cards! Use whatever materials you have at hand - have fun and get creative.
Find a reindeer template or create your own. Print these onto light card.
Get the students to colour in the templates and cut them out.
Hole punch where each part of the reindeer will be attached. Use split pins to attach the different parts.
Have fun making your puppet move its head and legs!
Paint the empty toilet roll or cover with crepe paper (white for snowmen, red for Santa).
Decorate! This is the fun part. Use buttons, beads, coloured paper, cotton wool, or drawing with pencils to put on the belts, beards, hats, faces, buttons, etc...
Handprinted Christmas tree (Reception/KS1)
Paint the hand green and place down on white card.
Do this several times and arrange the prints on the card to look like the branches of a tree.
Allow to dry.
Use fingerprints in different colours to look like decorations on the tree.
Paint or draw on a star and a tree stump.
You could do a giant classroom display – get each child to draw around their hands on green paper, cut them out and arrange on a display board to look like branches on a tree. You can even add a star and ornaments. |
