It may not have the immediacy of previous titles but it's a thoughtful story about judging people without knowing them first. Brown's illustrations are great as usual and there's loads of hidden things on each spread to spot in the detail.

Fast paced and brutal but with characters that you quickly get behind (and a few that you can love to hate). Great to see a deaf character & sign language as a key part of the story. Should have lots of appeal for fans of the Hunger Games.

Murder most foul and chocolate! Monsieur Framboise the ghost is a fab character and Coco's murder mystery to solve is entertaining and enjoyable. Excellent writing, plenty of humour, and an enchanting French setting. A delightful, delicious read

Has a lovely old-fashioned feel with imaginative and surreal flights of fancy. Each chapter reads almost like a short story and would make a good class read. May not be to everyone's taste but definitely worth having as something a bit different

A joyful read with warm illustrations and delightful characters. The text is lengthy but very readable and the relationship between aunt and niece is lovely. A great book for sharing with a good vibe and lots of songs to rediscover.
