Hilarious, had me giggling throughout! Riotous, zany illustrations, rhyming bounces along and this would make for a brilliant Halloween storytime. A fab fun read for all year round

A gentle story of adapting to change (in this case a new baby sister), feeling left out and making a new friend. Sutton's beautiful illus successfully create an immersive world and it all makes for a cosy, reassuring read. Really lovely

I couldn't put this down. Richly imaginative in it's world building and plot, with well-fleshed out characters, Hardinge excels in her craft in ways other writers only dream of.

Eerie set up and quirky main character hook the reader, and the frustrations of unhelpful authority figures, fake experts, and media scaremongering ring true. The finale can be seen coming to a degree but hits hard and winds up satisfyingly. Great!

Genuinely eerie short stories, cleverly linked together, and chillingly illustrated, all woven through with a thread of mean-spirited humour. Best suited to younger teen, though could suit older junior. Great for horror fans, Cthulu for youngsters!

An interesting premise and an enjoyable read. The main characters are relatable and funny, even through tough times. It's very readable and deals well with teen angst, and Theo's knowledge of how long a friendship will last gives it an edge. Great!

A fabulous book full of interesting and fun things to master. The pages are packed but the step by step guides are easy to follow. The layout is appealing and the illustrations a mix of diagrams and photos. A great book for browsing.

Warm and evocative illustrations support the gentle storytelling where the rhyming text trips along well. Themes around friendship, kindness and the magic of autumn. A lovely cosy book to share. Good.

A really good and enjoyable read. The characters are fun and the old London setting is fabulous. The wandering between the real and dream world works well. An intelligent novel with a satisfying ending. Great stuff.

Utterly delightful first board for babies. High contrast black and white to help with babies' focus and the rhyming stories are sweet with endearing characters. Larger board size is welcomed. Excellent choice for colls, must have

An enjoyable tale and a wonderful adventure through delightful and expressive illustrations. Poor Gulliver doesn't understand that the Crystal Castle is not for snails. A lovely choice for sharing and story times.

Thought provoking & surreal with wonderfully atmospheric illustrations. Could provoke discussion of big questions around our existence, purpose in the world & how we treat those who are different. Challenging, beautiful but won't suit everyone.

Sweet, funny tale with lovely expressive illustrations and a nice message about appreciating friends. Mindfulness exercises are fun too. Well worth stocking.
