Winners announced: SLA Information Book Award 2016

November 9th 2016

On Wednesday 9th November, the brilliant winners of the SLA (School Library Association) Information Book Award 2016 were announced. They also announced the winners of their Children's Choice Awards, a section of the awards that provided schools with the opportunity to vote for their favourite book from the shortlisted titles. Well, we're excited to announce that the winner's for each category are:

0 - 7 years: Fabulous Frogs by Martin Jenkins & illustrated by Tim Hopgood 7 - 12 years: If... by David J Smith & illustrated by Steve Adams Over 12 years: The National Theatre by Marina McIntyre

The Children's Choice Winners are:

0 - 7 years: The Usborne Big Book of Colours by Felicity Brooks 7 - 12 years: If... by David J Smith & illustrated by Steve Adams Over 12 years: The National Theatre by Marina McIntyre

For each of the awards, there is also an overall winner and those are: Information Book Award 2016: The National Theatre The Children's Choice: If... A huge congratulations goes to all of the winners, they've fought off tough competition to be crowned the best in their categories.
