SLA Information Book Award shortlist announced

We’ve got some great news for you all – the SLA IBA (School Library Association Information Book Award) shortlist has been announced.

The Information Book Award is celebrating its eighth year, and is a major development for information books. It’s been put in place to support school libraries and to reinforce the importance of non-fiction, whilst highlighting the high standard of resources available.

Here we share the full shortlist for you;

7 years and under

• Look I’m a Scientist by Various Authors
• Proud to be Deaf by Ava, Lilli, Nick Beese and Romina Marti
• Rock Pool Secrets by Narelle Oliver

7–12 years

• 100 Things to Know About Food by Various Authors and illustrated by Parko Polo and Mariani Federico
• Dinosaur Atlas by Anne Rooney and James Gilleard
• Real-Life Mysteries – Can You Explain the Unexplained? by Susan Martineau and Vicky Barker
• The Ways of the Wolf by Smriti Prasadam-Halls and Jonathan Woodward

12–16 years

• Escape From Syria by Samya Kullab, Jackie Roche and Mike Freiheit
• Explanatorium of Nature by Various Authors
• From Prejudice to Pride: A History of the LGBTQ+ Movement by Amy Lamé

The winning titles will be announced on 7^th November 2018, the start of National Non-fiction November.
