Alison Tarrant, Head of Library Services
Alison Tarrant is the Head of Library Services at Peters. Alison recently joined Peters to manage our Librarian and Bibliographic team, having worked in and around school and public libraries for more than 10 years. In her most recent role as CEO of the School Library Association, she worked closely with organisations such as CILIP, BookTrust and The Reading Agency.
Jack Noel is an award-winning author, illustrator and book designer. He lives in South London. He is the creator of My Headteacher is an Evil Genius, Skater Baby and the Comic Classics series. He has been reading comics and then copying out his favourite bits since 1988. His influences are The Beano, The Simpsons and Terminator 2. He is a dad, but not a robot dad.

Lucy Starbuck-Braidley
Former primary school teacher Lucy Starbuck Braidley is Head of School Libraries at The National Literacy Trust. Lucy is a comics and graphic novels enthusiast and is the host of Comic Boom: The Comics in Education Podcast, a podcast for teachers and librarians, designed to promote the use of comics in schools in education.

Paula Russell
Paula Russell is the Trust-Wide Reading Lead of Forward Education Trust, a non-profit making group of Academies and the West Midlands bespoke provider of choice for children with high levels of special educational needs. Paula’s role is centred around supporting schools in teaching reading skills, and ensuring that reading is accessible, engaging and inclusive for all our pupils regardless of ability.
Reba Khatun
Reba Khatun is the School Librarian at Dorrington Academy, Birmingham. Dorrington Academy were shortlisted in the SLA Awards 2025 for the Peter Usborne Primary School Library. Previously, she judged The Lollies Award 2024 and has been published in The Faber Book of Bedtime Stories.
