Buyer and Book Stock Coordinator – Secondary and Children’s Educational Material

We have ambitious plans for 2020 and we are looking for an enthusiastic bookseller with a passion for children’s books to work as part of our buying team in a completely new role. With a thorough knowledge of children’s book stock as well as publishers, distributors and of book imprints, the post holder will take responsibility for the management of our stock holding and assist with stock buying to maximise sales opportunities.

You will have a proven background and knowledge of the general book trade and be familiar with current educational and children’s book trends and initiatives.

You’ll need to be competent with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word, have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills and the ability to understand the complexities of our business.

This hands-on role is varied, interesting, at times challenging but seldom dull and a good sense of humour and strong resolve will also come in handy.
