Book packs FAQs

Book packs can be a great way to buy the best new books for your school – as we'll do the hard work for you! Make the most of your budget and fill any gaps in your classroom or library. Simply select your topic or theme and our team will hand-pick the books to assemble your pack for you. 

How are the books in my book pack chosen? 

Peters book packs are hand-picked to order, so you select your preferred theme or topic and our qualified librarians and children's book specialists will always pick out the best and most recently published books to match. We read and review thousands of new children's and young adult books every year, so you can be sure we're choosing the best books available!

How many books will I get in my pack? 

Check the pack's page online for the approximate number of books you'll receive. As each pack is hand-picked to order, the exact number of books may vary slightly, but your pack will never exceed the stated price. You can also use the slider to customise the value of your pack – increase your pack's value and you will receive an increased number of books to match the price chosen.

Can I add extra books to my book pack?

Got a bit more to spend? Use the slider to increase the value of your pack, and we'll supply additional books on the same theme or topic to match the new increased value. We'll typically supply a wider range of different books to support your chosen theme or topic, depending on the publishing that's available. If you'd prefer multiple, duplicate copies of the same books, please email hello@peters.co.uk to let us know. 

Will you tell me in advance which titles will be included?

Titles included in each book pack are selected based on quality and availability at the time of order; therefore we're unable to provide advance notice of books that will be included in your pack. If you'd like to see a list of the books you'll receive before ordering, you may prefer our bespoke selection service, where our team will put together a tailored book list for you to be agreed in advance.

Can I swap or return books from my pack?

We always choose the highest-quality book available for your chosen topic, so it's not possible to return books or swap titles from your pack. If you'd prefer to avoid duplicating books you already have in school, ask our team for a bespoke book selection to complement your existing stock. 

Can I have my books jacketed and labelled?

Yes, just let us know which jackets and labels you'd like when you place your order, or select your requirements at checkout when ordering book packs online. Plastic jackets are 35p each, and labels 10p each.

Are your book packs inclusive for all pupils?

Across all of our book packs and book selections for schools, we aim to provide a diverse and inclusive range of titles that will reflect the experiences of all your pupils wherever we can. If you're looking specifically to diversify your book provision in school, we can recommend our diverse and inclusive packs: choose from authors and characters of colour, family life and society and neurodiversity and disability, or LGBTQ+ packs. We also offer partner packs specifically designed to improve access to diverse authors, such as Inclusive Books for Children packs.
