Summary

William and Judy unite in a cross-country journey through Europe to find Judy's missing father after a storm ravages their town.

When a storm hits a small and sleepy town, it ravages every living thing.

But storms don't just destroy, they uncover. And when William discovers a mysterious object that has lay hidden beneath a centuries-old tree, he instantly knows that it's special.

What he doesn't know is that his unexpected find will unite him with a girl searching for her missing father and trigger a series of events that will see them stow away in a camper van, hurtle across countries and uncover what will undoubtedly be the most exciting adventure of their lives.

NOTE: Toby Ibbotson is the son of Eva Ibbotson

NOTE: One instance of mild swearing "Pissed off". William's mum goes on holiday and leaves him on his own and Judy's dad has also left her on her own so he can go and rescue one of his friends. It isn't clear how old they are but they are definitely under 16.
