Hello, we’re Peters

We’re the UK’s leading supplier of books and furniture for nurseries, schools, academies, and public libraries. We believe all children and young people should have access to great books, as well as inspiring spaces to enjoy them in. Here at Peters we have decades of experience, and we’re passionate about inspiring children to read – whatever their age.

Rhydian Peters

Chairman

After being brought up immersed in the family business (including being dressed up as Spot the Dog and Fungus the Bogeyman), Rhydian took a break to set up a successful graphic and web design business before being drawn back to build on the previous Peters’ hard work. He used to read a lot and had plenty of hobbies, but now has a young daughter!

Ray Dyer

Managing Director

Ray leads the Peters team, and has been selling books to schools and libraries for 30 years; the last 20 at Peters. Ray has varied reading tastes, and he is as likely to be found reading a travel guide as a new teenage fiction title. Outside of work, Ray can be found planning his next European motorcycle tour or fighting a losing battle against the bindweed on his allotment.

Caroline Bean

Showroom Supervisor

Caroline had 27 years’ bookselling experience at the University of Birmingham before joining Peters in 2013, where she now takes pride in her role as Showroom Supervisor. Outside of work, she likes to spend time taming her garden and her cat, and she also enjoys reading historical fiction whilst baking chocolate cakes.

Claire Bowles
